Functional Bling

Functional Bling - can it be true.

A tidy little oil temp gauge that replaces your oil filler cap. Does it work? Well the gauge rises! Sits on 60 degrees after a good run in my cool Autumn environment.

A nice wee unit, made in Germany, oil filled face to avoid vibration issues. Actual face is white, photos are taken in low light.

Does it really represent the oil temp? considering the only oil it touches is flicked at it by the clutch, maybe it is a crankcase temp gauge? Worth the $, probably not as oil temp was never a issue, but you know you want one ..........

With a F*, in a clock

Like a D*, in a sock

I do not like them on my bike,

I do not like them on a trike,

I will not take them red or green,

I don't like them darn bling bling!

I would not show it off with class,

I will not shove it up my ass!

Wait, what are we talking about again?

Joking aside, that's pretty cool!

I'm going to try this when I get home with one of my cooking thermometer and see how it works. Hopefully it doesn't stab anything important in there.

Cool, where to buy?

A. your leg should not be anywhere near it - unless you are deformed ......

B. you would have to be kicking the shit out of it to even attempt to break it off.

Unless your right leg has been replaced with a heavy sledgehammer then it is not a problem.

Warm here today 23 celsius - been out for a good thrashing on my favorite roads and only just got the gauge over 60 - reading 62 -65 ish. so that looks like my max 'good' temp.

I'm running full synthetic Mobil motorcycle oil - I wonder if it was running standard dino if the gauge would read higher.
