Fitting a 599 Delkevic exhaust on my new 919?

Hello all, just started looking through here recently as I just bought a 2002 919 two weeks ago after wrecking my '04 599 last summer (hit from behind at light, totaled by insurance but a lot of parts able to recover)

That being said, I've already noticed and started to think about replacing my head light with my old 599 headlight as I've seen a few people on here do and it got me thinking about my old 14inch delkevic exhaust and trying to fit that.

Now my plan was to buy a new exhaust for my 919 but I couldn't find anything that was full length, carbon fiber, without turned down tips so I was thinking of using my old pipe and then buying the same exact thing again and fitting them both on my 919.

My question is I guess, can I use the mounting hardware from a 599 on a 919 without much trouble and what about downpipe hardware?

I'm sure I could do some research and guesstimating but I was hoping someone on here would have some previous knowledge on the subject and could lend a helping hand first.
Thanks!

(P.S. attached are images of the exhaust I have now and will be hopefully buying a second of if this works out)

On the 919, you want the down turn tips to help with exhaust sink (if any).

Generally, boo you can't use the hangers fit the 599 as they are mounted differently. Same fire the bolt location. However, I think you are in uncharted territory here.

Do document your progress.

I've had a 919 and a 599. They're both great bikes. My preference goes towards the 599. What do you think, Joe? 599 or 919?

Will do. I took the back end apart and think I can manage to mount them, my biggest concern is the Y pipe I'll need connect them at the bottom.

Well I've only had the 919 for about a week now and maybe, 200 miles but I really do like the extra power of it. I haven't found anything that it worse than the 599 so far so I guess I'd have to side with the 919 just because to me, it's all the 599 is and more. Lots of time yet on it hopefully to learn.
