first time having gauges in over a year

I got my gauge housing in to day and took a break from the intrepid I have in the shop for head gaskets to put the gauges on and take it for a spin.

2 things my gauges have me wondering. How the hell have I only been pulled over twice and how have I avoided a felony so long. Looking down as I ride had me realizing I was averaging almost 30 over every were i go. And I'm calculating for high reading gauges.

thing gets places a lot slower with an indication of speed

I may keep this thing after all it's not as slow as I thought although I d want some thing with more power. but the gauges made me realize one it ain't slow and to a bike like the buell 1125cr would be horrible for 2 up. I think I'll save up and get th e 1190 rs when it comes out or maybe just a cbr1000rr I have a lust for a mean twin though. We enjoyed the 2 up time she just wishes she had some thing to support her back while doing it. gonna get her the same back protector I have from dainese to try. Keeps my back a lot straighter.

God it's nice having a reminder I'm about outta fuel been a few time i thought i filled up the day before and next thing i know I'm sitting on the side of the highway waiting for a buddy with a gas can.

Common sense. So rare it's a god damn super power.

Been thinking about dumping mine and going with a light weight digital alternative.

....btw.....a givi rack and givi top case would give you a nice back rest....

Looks like ass, but the sport touring look usually keeps the leos off you.

That is the only reason I replaced my gauges about 4 years ago. Tired of running out of fuel.

or get a ventura rack to use as a back support for your wife. 30 seconds and it's on/off. even when its on, it still looks decent unlike the givi combo.

if you are talking about a 919, at highway speed, the Speedo reads about 7 MPH slow. Just take the indicated speed and subtract 8%

919 indicates high (fast), not low (slow). I think that's what you meant.

I know it's of but it's not off by as much as I would have needed it to be to not commit a felony when I didn't have them.
