No that would be the 2008 model year. They have the bugs worked out now and for the most part it was a fueling issue with thye 2008's.

You obviously don't know much about Rotax motors.

I thnk his comment was directed towards the idea that Buell is a vapor mist now and any parts you need in the future might be tough to find.

I did a few Buell Inside Pass track days and the 1125's are one hell of a nice bike.

The engine makes good, usable power and they handle damn well right out of the box. The ZTL brakes were nice but some complained of brake fade.

For $5000, that's a steal even if you'll have to go to Hardley dealers to buy parts!

Holy chip, that is enough to get me into considering one -

Wonder what insurance is on one, I just paid $50.00 for another 6 months on my existing bike....

Wow, that is cheap! I rode one last summer at a MotoGP event and posted a review, wasn't really the bike for me but at that price it would certainly be tempting!

the insurance quote i got on the 1125r when i was gonna buy one was cheap...

state farm told me ~220 for 6 months full coverage... and thats what i pay for the vfr..

and that is 1/2 of what i was paying on the 919

Cheap price, fits the bike...........

Bet Buell owners are kicking themselves (the ones that still owe more on the same model then they can buy a new one for)

Yeah, so have countless other motorcycle and automotive companies, it doesn't mean that parts won't be available, it just means you have to look a bit harder.

Collectible value just go up?

The Claw bike! I bet when HD's BOD first saw it they immediately wondered what Buell's R&D blew the budget on and canned the division...

Jim, the internet as you know has shrunk the world and parts are avaible and have to be.
Harley put out a statement that they would support the Buell product line for seven years.
how we all learn things is from one person to another and the guy that turned me on to this got his for $4,400 and added a three year warranty for a few hundred more.
In the morning I will call the 4/5 dealers near me..

you must feel guilty about something... i was actually serious about flying and pick one up for a steal like that.... but i bought a vfr... and i got it for the payment i wanted *(see the power of walking away?) and also after walking out of the harley shop and buying the vfr the harley salesman called a few days later offering me the buell at the price i wanted before i walked out...

but nowhere in my post did i call you a liar.... i simply wanted the name of the dealership so i could attempt to purchase one.....

and there is nothing wrong with living with a VERY strict budget.... its the reason i am able to relax at a time when other people are pissing their pants in fear over money.... i am not worried because i have enough in the bank to see me through....

p.s. thank you very much for the link..

You can ride it for a year resell it for not much less than you paid. So the ~$700 in taxes/fees is a cheap rental. Do it!

we are trying to buy a house at this moment space and time... so tacking on another payment *(even one as low as this would be ~150) is counter productive.....and pulling that much out of checking or savings aint gonna happen

we recently moved into a house and i am gonna be able to pick it up on a short sale.....

as much as i would love to have one... i don't see it happening.... too bad harley didnt drop buell 4 months ago...

Guess who just called me during my lunch break?

Yup, Racine Harley Davidson, whom I was speaking to many months ago about an 1125R. He said they've got a new batch that have to go at $5,900.00 Given that he called me out of the blue with this price...I'd say there are deals to be had.

Edit: Damn that's an amazing bike for this price...I wish I could.

That's a crazy deal. I actually kind of like the look of the bike as well. Perhaps from working on jet parts.

I made a rule about 10 toys ago that I would never get a loan on another toy ever again. If I can't pay cash for it than I shouldn't be buying it. I've also went this route on my last two new vehicles that I've bought. Yes, I had to wait a couple more years but it's worth it to pay not have payments on something that is losing value.

Whoa!
Do you sit with the keyboard in your lap across the room from it? I tried putting my 32 inch TV as my computer monitor and I thought that was huge.

I actually like them, and if I can get a new one for under 5g's AND reach the ground on one..... I may just take one home. (The 1125, that is.)
