Erion?

Hey Guys, Long time lurker first time poster. I have been in contact with Erion on about four different occasions trying to buy pipes and they cannot tell me when they are going to get a new supply in for 919s. Although I would really like to go with Erion I am tired of waiting. I guess the reason for the post is: Does anyone know where I could find Erion pipes for my 919? I have tried Starcycle and a couple of other businesses but they are out of stock as well. I have concluded that if I can't find Erions I will go with either the Sato or Staintunes. Both are nice pipes and I am sure I will be happy with either one but for some reason I really wanted the Erions.

Thanks in Advance,
Sprout

Hi lurker Sprout. It appears if you touched base Erion and struck out then it's on to plan B. I was seriously looking at Erion way back when but then I saw a set Sato cans in person. It was like comparing a cobby product made in someone's basement to a handcrafted piece of art. I apologize if I offended anyone here who has the Erion cans.

The Staintunes are decent if you are after the bling-bling look. They are made in Australia which means getting them is harder. The Sato's cans are Ti or CF, a big plus is the support you would get with Dan Kyle.

Here's my thread of when I got my Staintunes.
https://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...ight=staintune

I'd say both the Satos or the Staintunes are a good choice.

It comes down to what look you want and how much noise you want to make. The Satos are good if you like a louder bike and the Staintunes if you like it more quiet.

Starcycle had mine in stock when I ordered but they messed up somewhere and didn't ship them untill I called them back a few weeks later to ask where they were.

Everyone here assumes you mean mufflers, not a complete system.

I have an Erion can on my 929. Maybe it's not quite the quality of the Satos that are on my 919, but the difference is very small. Going into it's 3rd season, the Erion still looks new. No rust, no cracks, or failures of any kind. The Erion can hasn't gotten any louder, something I can't say about the Satos. Buy a motorcycle magazine, there are always lots of adds in them reguarding exhausts. Keep looking. If you go Erion on the 919, get the heat shields powdercoated black to match. Good luck, welcome.
