Dropped it... again

Been a while since I dropped it. Over a year. My buddy wrecked it recently, but it's been fixed. Well yesterday afternoon someone decided to rearrange the garage, was tight getting the 919 out and I dropped it. She fell over on the left side and hit the bike stands, and the tank was dented on the ridge...

It's safe to say, I'm still pretty upset.

That stinks. But it is done, and at least you didn't poke a hole in the cases or something worse. But it still stinks.

Yeah, it sucks. If you're upset to the point where you want to sell the bike, can I have your fork conversion and wheels?

Just kidding...it'll be okay. If it bothers you enough, you can get a new tank.

Man, sorry to hear that, I'd be upset as well. Luckily it's fixable and will give you a chance to tear your bike apart and make it all better.

That sucks! Rolling mine it started falling away from me and I turned into a green hulk monster to save her. I'd skip this cosmetic phase and teach the next friend.

I'll teach while they sit on their bike, and me on mine from now on. She has been abused too much lately. I'm looking at getting a cruiser...

Great plan! Both MSF classes I took cruisers became carnage (heard of more). They are challenging to ride, but I want one for my 4th bike. 1) 9er... 2) ?K1200GT? 3) dirt bike 4) cruiser... But I'm having too much fun with #1!

If you had the correct length sliders on, you can tip it over and NOT dent the tank. Do search on whale penis

Hey HondaStreet,
I'm setting up to have my tank painted (after a low side) and if you want we might be able to have both tanks painted at the same time. It might save a few bucks for both. Let me know if you are interested and what color. I'm origianlly candy red but I'm thinking of taking this opprtunity to add a little something special
Let me know if you (or anyone is interested)

There's your plan and then there's God's plan.........
Your's doesn't matter.

If it's not bad it'll be cheaper to fix. Post a pic if you can. Minor enough you can get a paintless dent guy to fix it if you drain the gas out. If youre really thinking of selling, put it back to stock, take a few hundred off and sell it as is with the tank dent...

Been there as well. It does make ya feel like a bonehead!

If the dent's not too bad use my easy fix - stick a Hairy the Hornet decal over it and keep on going.

The logo breaks up the dent contour pretty well!

Mine took me down with it when it fell. I thought I could stop the fall but it just pulled me down. Now I have a scraped cover, whoops. Glad I was at home, by myself, would have been embarrassing, wait why I am I telling you?

Hmm, I might wait til I get an empty tank, then remove the gas cap and try to pound it out.. Thanks for the idea!
