do you like it old and naked???

do you like it old and naked???

no, not your grandma ....talkin motorcycles here
(anyone remember that scene from The Shining?? That scene forever scarred my youth)

i'm home not even one week and the following two wheeled machines have found their way to my garage:

1978 Honda SuperSport (all there and in good shape)
1985 VFR (perfect paint)
1986 Yamaha Fazer 700 (looks like a mini VMax, excellent condition)

i will...
make 'em run
make 'em safe & streetworthy
make 'em legal if desired

how did I acquire such "vintage collectibles"???
all i can say is, alcohol was involved...

i will get a few pics together, starting on the SuperSport first.

1) Sounds like a good problem to have.

2) There's a poem in there.

That is all

I'd love to see the VFR. By far my favorite 2-wheeled motivator.

Your images should be straight now. All I could see were red X's at first.

Your topic heading gave me a chuckle... Oh never mind, Andrea would shoot me!

I believe the 78' Honda was the last year of the SOHC 750 cc motors. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. They were my specialty. There are a few good mods. that will make this bike even more awesome.

Here are a few that to get you started:

* 29mm Mikuni smoothbore carburetors w/K&N individual filters.
* Dyna III electronic ignition.
* High energy Andrews coils.
* Bored out 3mm to 812cc.
* 11:1 compression ratio.
* R.C. Engineering aluminum alloy golden rods.
* Andrews D grind cam.
* Ported and polished combustion chambers.
* Balanced pistons with custom designed crowns.
* Heavy-duty valve springs.
* Reinforced cam towers.
* Precision ground 4130 heat-treated alloy cylinder studs.
* Custom fabricated 0.5mm aluminum head gasket.

Ratdog,

Isn't an '85 interceptor a VF not a VFR? 500 or 750?

I like my nakeds either really old(anything with the SOHC 750) or younger than a polygamist cult leaders newest wife(been watching a lot of BIG LOVE) like my 02 919.
