Different kind of exhaust stink

I'm loving my new 919 except there's a really strong odor coming from the Delkevic pipes, it smell a lot like cat pee and only when it's been running. WTF?

Your cat pissing in the tank? They will do some devious things if you make them mad!

Well, I found some nuts and seeds in the air filter and I realized it's probably not cat pee but a dead rodent smell. It's worse with the delkelvic pipes than the stock ones but I can smell it either way. WTF?

I'm pretty sure the stink everyone else has doesn't smell like a dead mouse, plus this is my 3rd 919 and 4th exhaust configuration. Not has an issue like this before.

It started out smelling like cat pee.
Big difference between cat pee and rotting flesh me thinks.

I fired up a bike in the garage once and a live mouse shot out the tailpipe. The exhaust had been filled with piss & shit from that little bastard and smelled like it for a long time.

Yea it wasn't that long ago either. It was soon after I moved to Commiefornia so within the last 8 years.

I've had lots of rodent problems in this state. One of them ate through my ping sensor harness on my brand new F150 in 2009 causing me $1000 worth of repairs. I literally hunted it down and killed it

& then a year later another one got in the truck and I was making a right hand turn in Carmel and this little bastard comes up out of the area where the washer fluid comes out and runs across the windshield and dives back in the other side. I almost crashed the truck trying to get his little ass! The next morning on the way to work he did it again and I pulled over and chased him all over the engine bay, but couldn't catch him and then it was almost comical. I get to work, park the truck and as I walk around the back of the truck this little fucker is literally just sitting on the bumper above the license plate!

This monster rat like thing lived in my garage for part of the winter a couple years after that. He wasn't really causing any problems other than the occasional chewed up box etc, but I walked through the garage and he lept from a shelf to a step ladder and the ladder leaned over and went clunk against some shelving on the other side and I saw him in the open and he saw me and froze. Bad mistake...

This is a full size can of Honda Polish btw not a travel size

Where I live now I have only had one mouse inside the house after a torrential rain storm about 3 years ago and with 3 cats in the house he didn't live long.

I do have a couple visitors on a regular basis though

Stinky here doesn't like being petted (trust me I know)

& Annabelle is pretty much family now. She lives under the house and we feed her table scraps regularly. Can't pet her, but she doesn't run off in our presence.

Haven't had any skunks at my place but did have an opossum living in the tree in my backyard and a roving pack of racoons in the neighborhood, drives Angus NUTS

Well I don't have a cat but that was my first guess. After a couple of months and finding the winter stockpile I concluded it must be a rodent. I bought it from a mod here in Co Springs CO but I forget his name. Maybe has an idea.

I'm just wondering if it's still somewhere on the bike but I only smell it when the bike is running, the hotter the worse it is. Looked in the Y-pipe yesterday and looks fine
