Cycle World Naked Bike Comparo

October issue showed up in the mailbox today. 12 different bikes tested. Interesting. They awarded the 919 the "Best Sleeper" award: "The 919 walks softly and carries a big stick. It isn't a show-off but can really walk the walk." Must have got that cliche dictionary out for this one. BTW the winner was the Aprilia Tuono. Check out the "Hot Rods & Hooligans" article www.cycleworld.com.

Move to San Antonio. I know that they sold six of the 919's between the three dealers, but I still haven't seen one around. A mechanic at the dealer I bought mine from rides an '05, only other one I've seen. The dealers aren't even ordering any more, to include the '07, or so I've heard. Nobody down here likes 'em, except for me!!

I'v only seen one other 9'r this year and I squeezed in to the same spot with it. They were flat black stock identicle except I had already yanked my mickey mouse mirrors. I haven't seen one since, even though I've kept my eyes peeled. Everybody has the Suzuki SV and FZ1 around here... that's fine with me.

see lots here, from a distance they don't exactly strike a stylish silhouette, sort of stink bug, but up close i like the looks alot. canadians, europeans and some americans get it.

I have yet to see one in the Fresno, CA area. I would like to see a few however. Maybe get a 919 ride planned. After mine is on the road again of course.

Thanks for the heads-up, JAX. I'll have to pick that up when it hits the newstand.
