I'm looking to buy a corbin as well. If they'll give you a deal I may be interested.

What did you find out? The rear section of the seat is obviously not intended to accommodate extended 2-up riding, but, is it suitable for the occasional short jaunt with the lady in tow? I really like the look of the seat in the link. Not so crazy about the one on the Corbin website.

the shape of that seat still looks like its gonna slide your boys into the tank all the time though hopefully it just how it appears.

the good thing about corbin is they will carve it out for you at no charge if you buy it from them

Buddy of mine has a corbin with the passanger section like that on his 2000 Bandit... umm how should I put this... his lady has made a few positive remarks about the seat... a bit off color but positive..
and I think it's a style corbin calls a gunslinger.. as oopsed to gunslinger and lady..

Update: I actually just spent 600 miles in that seat (yes those are my pics). My ass is not sore at all and the family jewels are intact. The seat doesn't make me slide forward, I find it much more comfortable than my friends BMW GS1150 !!!

I agree with CRXnut! I'm pretty picky when it comes to bike seats. I had a Corbin and a Sargent on my former bike, an ST1300, and preferred the Sargent.

When the stock 919 seat wasn't working for me, I went straight to Sargent for a custom seat job. It looked nice but it was disappointing in comfort. I was squirming around badly after 75-100 miles.

So I now have a Corbin (actually 2 Corbins, long story) on the bike and spent 6 hours in the saddle yesterday. And it was great. No sliding. No discomfort. Very natural riding posture. Very pleased overall. Not sure why the Sargent was better for me on the ST1300 and the Corbin is better for me on the 919, but my butt isn't complaining so neither am I.

Quite interested to see the pics and hear your review of the seat. Let us know how much it weighs too, have heard Corbins are very heavy, hate to put back on all the weight I saved with the CF Satos.

I wish I would have joined the forum sooner. I just ordered a new Gunslinger and Lady with backrest a couple days ago. They don't charge tax or shipping so total including the backrest was $618. If anyone is interested I can post pictures and a review once I get it.

One more thing. I am a convert from a Roadstar Warrior and they have a great forum at RSwarrior.com. They get members together all the time for mass purchases and get deals. They also have site sponsors that offer discounts to members. If we band together and pick a few sites like RideGear or something, we may be able to swing member discounts. I guess that would be more for the moderators to work on. Something to think about

there are 4 pictures of it. just remember i can still have them take some material out of the rear section. i did not want to make it uncomfortable for any passangers.

On a side note, I dig the way those Scorpion slip-ons look in the 919. I've got the same one on my FZ1 (though single, not dual).

Hey guys, I'm at my office in Pensacola, FL this week and have found a used Corbin 919 seat for sale locally. I checked it out yesterday, it's the "Gunfighter and Lady" style, like what is pictured on Corbin's website, carbon fiber look leather and vinyl with grey welting. It's in excellent condition, the guy says it makes the bike too tall for him so he put the stock seat back on. He's asking $225, cost over $400 new. It's not for me, don't want to add that much weight and not into the thick rear section, but it's a heck of a deal if you're considering buying a Corbin. Seller's name is Ron Davis, his cell # is (850) 982-7191, if anyone's interested.
