Coolant coming out of tube...

... anyone have coolant coming out of their tube at the end of a ride?

My coolant does not appear to be overfilled.

It's a few drips and it's pretty consistent.

yup same here, happens to me too.... I attribute it to a possibly slightly overfilled coolant reservoir.... but more of the fact that the hot steaming coolant that gets put into the reservoir when the cooling system is hot steams up the tube overflow tube and you get a coupla drips.

Mine too. That's what it's for. You may have a small leak somewhere in the system, that prevents the coolant from going back and forth from resovoir to radiator as it heats and cools. Instead of keeping the radiator level, it overflows.

My 919 did that for a few months. It eventually stopped and I haven't had any problems since.

Lett it roll.

I've only noticed this once, and it was at an extremely hot Track Day around 90 F with bone dry air and the temp gauge was up to the 2/3rds zone after each session. I figured the rad cap had relieved a bit, and between that and the res tank fluid madly slopping from my antics, some coolant made its way out. I got a few drips. Thanks for the reminder, it was near the tire and I think a small catch bottle would be wise - re Track Day use that is.

Know someone with a CB1300 that does that a lot.

I think I only ever got a drop or two out of my 9er when it was brand spanking new.

Note to self: must change coolant fluid - everything from coolant, water, crush washer & measuring jugs have been sitting in my shed for about 7 weeks!. Sitting next to the brake bleeder tool and fresh pack of brake fluid ................... Someone needs a 'garage day' off work!
