thank you for your reply kerstin. i think it is strange that you do not sell a cowl that fits my bike. wild hair accessories sells a hesa cowl for my model bike. they just don't publish intillation directions. the honda 919 is the same as the honda hornet, and has not changed much since 2002.

thank you,

mark combs

Dear Mark,

Karsten has told me, that this seat cowl does not fit on the model 2006 as Honda has changed the size of the seat unit.
For older models it is no problem. May be Wild hair does not know this matter?

Regards, Kerstin

I'm pretty sure the only change Honda has made to seats on the 919 was the addition of two sets of hooks in 2004 (right?). I can't find parts fiche for the 2006 model to back me up on this, though.

Why not just ask them for instructions on installation of the cowl on a 2005 919

i sent them an email asking just that. its like a three day turn around on email responses w/ these guys. my guess is they have one person there who can translate.

all i really want to know is how quickly the cowl can be installed and then removed for 2up riding. hence, the request for install instructions.

I'm definitely interested in finding that out as well! That's part of the reason I've been holding off on getting one...
