Clear Alternatives Smoke lens

I installed the Clear Alternatives LED brake lights with integrated turn signals today. I think the smoke lens looks great. Then I decided to fabricate a license plate bracket to eliminate the rear fender. I did away with the license plate light (I almost never ride at night). The LEDs might be bright enough to light it up. I will check it out in the dark and see; if not, I won't ride at night. Does anyone think I will catch any grief from the law for crimping my license plate like I did?

Sounds good. I am getting closer to the GP exhaust, so once I have everything worked out with the header and can, you should be able to duplicate it as a simple bolt on.

Looks good, but it also looks like the plate is resting against your exhaust.

If it is I'd trim it down or bend it some more so it doesn't. Otherwise sometime down the road I'd bet money on the fact that the plate will end up rubbing through either one or both of your pipes.

I'll show you how mine was done. It made for a clean install and I've never had an issue with the cops around here.

You are correct, there is very little clearance. It is not rubbing right now, but might on the road. I will keep a close eye on it. Thanks for the advice.
