Chrysler 300C vs my 919? Huh?

So my boss's boss is basically a well meaning, but typically bull headed kind of guy. Sometimes he can just be an a55 though. He kept talking about how fast his Chrysler 300C was, and noticed my helmet on my desk. He was like "yeah, I could easily beat your bike too". I look up from my monitor expecting him to be joking, but it was pretty obvious that he wasn't.

I told him, uh... I'm not riding a Nighthawk here buddy. I don't think your car really stands a chance. After trying to describe what a naked bike was, and that it's like 440 lbs with 900cc's he wanted to go outside and look at it. So after grabbing my hat and walking outside with him, he just walks up to it and says.... "Oh.....you're probably.....right." I held out my hand and said "Turn in your man-card".

Just the looks alone of the bike intimidated him enough. Priceless. I'll never forget my old boss and I driving up to the guys house that was selling my soon to be bike and us both going "damn" as we parked his truck. It's easy to get use to the looks of the 919, maybe start to envy the looks of other bikes, but people definantly have a reaction to our naked bikes.

So the ending of the story is that you're looking for a new job now?

Cars are slow.

Sounds like you spend some serious time with the bosses. I bet when you get outta there at the end of the day you drive it like you stole it.
