Check out these cans

Pulled into my space at work this morning on the niner and there was a brand new 09 B-King sitting next to me. Check out the cans on that thing compared to the niner. The bike does look good in black but not sure if I could get used to those monster cans.

From that view the tank looks pretty big as well. Reminds me of a Boss Hoss.

that back end is hideous

haven't seen many aftermarket mods for fixing that either, kinda tough the way the tailsection is designed

would be fun to ride, insurance would prolly be brutal though

The Akrapovic setup cleans it up significantly, but it still has the aesthetic of a splitting maul.

I think they are sweet! And yes insurance is outrageous, I checked through Progressive.

My 06 919- $380 per year, full coverage
B-King- $800+ full coverage, and that's for a 39 year old!

The motor is all Busa. Test drove one last year,
wicked fast in a straight line. I'd love to have one but can't afford the insurance.
Was quoted 3 grand /year from progressive on a new 08 .The niner cost me $300/yr.
Not gonna pay ten times more for ins.

I kind of like the styling. It's waaaay too big for me, too heavy. Just another excersize in American excess. Light is right. I'd buy a really kick ass 600 naked if someone had to balls to sell one in America. Doubt that'll ever happen.

The B-King is a great idea that just came out all wrong.

As for the girl. If you wouldn't hit that then you're just gay.

Well that's not a 2009 B_king and you won't have to wait long as dealers are trying to sell the only model year made 2008.Look on e bay lots of new ones for as low as $8,000...Kinda like the Buell 1125

As far as the picture of the woman,no I wouldn't go near that !!

yoshi has a pretty clean setup for the back of those, relocates all the dung that hangs down and gets rid of the 1000 gallon can on the back. the 1000 gallon can we call the tank is just there. it's going to be hard to find a bolt on upgrade for that. they are pretty comfy also. and fast. really really fast.
WW's avatar pushes my buttons. i like it.

Since when? I haven't even been on here long, but I already know I wouldn't bring the illegitimate little ones to the WT BBQ.

#1.

She's not nude so she's not in violation.

I'd be disappointed to think I provide a website where you'd feel uncomfortable bringing the little ones to a gathering. Sure, guys are guys and they screw around and have fun but my daughter has attended every event I've hosted and has never once been made to feel unwelcome or what I'd consider uncomfortable in any way. Heck, often she's the life of the party.

Not meaning to over react, it's just something I feel we're above/beyond.

+1, When we did the Texas ShinDig last year, we had several families there with kids differing in age from Rob919's little one (a couple years old....maybe 3?) to my (at the time) 8 and 10 year olds to XRCajun's son (early teen). Very family oriented and had a great time! We rode during the day, then went out and did sightseeing stuff with the families in the evening.

I agree with SSS if you don't like boobs, your gay. As for the B King, the only cool one i saw was in Cycle world. It was a custom. The guy took those front ram air looking things off the bike and put a gsxr1000 tail end on it. It looked dope!

I have always felt that the Japanese MC companies pay industrial spies to monitor MC forums in their target markets, such as WT. For example, look at all the HD lookalikes coming out of Japan. Now, consider the B-King cans and ask yourself if this is not merely an attempt by Japan Inc to commercialize a trend in exhaust modifications, exemplified by the following photo (courtesy of Hairball).

Hope too. Was kinda waiting for str8, now that he is back need to get with him then start planning times. Last year, we did hotels in the local area we rode. Wondering this time about trying to split the cost of a cabin or something. Watch for a thread to come in the near future to start planning.

Jet,

Is Kristin still event coordinator? Should I get this officially approved through you or her when we start the planning?

same size as the busa, NOT a busa. smaller bore, longer stroke, more torque, less horsepower, less top end. about 75 lbs heavier than a busa.
butt ugly no matter what you do to it.
