Looks awesome..but check their (Ducati) owners forums before you make your move..those bikes are having some problems. Immobilizers going off in the middle of your ride, bikes have to be towed to dealer, ignition problems if it's raining, etc.

No, the ram horns are below on the forks and they're ugly too. Otherwise I think the bike is gorgeous. So buy it already.

peronally I like everything about that bike, including the mirrors. Much like ever other fine detail in that bike, the mirrors are a perfect combo of retro style and modern tech and performance. The shocks on the rear are the coolest thing since the Kawasaki ZRX1100 and 1200.

I checked that bike out quite a bit when I was shopping. I loved it, but loved the added features of FI and liquid cooling offered with the Honda. Also, the reliability and maintenance costs are something serious to consider on top of the price tag, which at 4000 more than the 919 made my decision alot easier. The speed triple on the other hand had my serious attention.

One other thing I recall is that the riding position is quite aggressive, much like any of their superbikes. This is unlike just about all the naked standards on the market these days, and is a plus for me, but may be a drawback for others...

I dig the antique yellow the most, but check out those shocks in the rear...

if ya cant tell the sound of a dry clutch just sets my teeth on edge.. make sure it doesnt do the same to you before ya buy it... if you can live with it.. go for... cuz like all Duc's it's a gorgeous bike.

The Sport 1000s are super cool. I went to the Ducati dealership on Saturday and was perving them at close quarters. I like the bikes a lot but only the rear shock is fully adjustable. The forks have no adjustment. The stock exhaust is really quiet which for me just doesn't cut it. This problem is easy to fix with the Termignoni exhaust though. I love the spoked wheels and the styling! The riding postion is quite extreme but I wouldn't be putting miles on it like I do on my 600rr. Haha! The position on my 600r was more relaxed than on the Sport 1000. I didn't ask the guy for a test ride but once I narrow my buying focus down to two or three bikes, if the Sport 1000 is still in the running I will be hitting the guy up.
