Bulb went out on speedo/Tec??

I other morning when I started back at work I had to leave early in the am to go to work , noticed the light on the tachometer side (the right side) of my speedo assembly was not working .Has any one replaced this bulb and if so was it a PITA or no .. or is there anything I should know before I take mine apart other than its a 12 v 1.7w bulb .. In the pic below I would say it part number 2 ...

there are a total of 4 bulbs in the instrument cluster - two are turn signals and two are for illumniation. the honda part for the instrument illumination bulbs has a heavy duty fillament meant to withstand vibration - it is worth it to use a heavy duty bulb so you don't have to do this again soon. (also worth it to replace both sides/bulbs while you're at it).

you don't need to remove the instruments... but you will need to remove some of the headlight mount assembly so that you can remove the rear cover of the instruments while they are still attached to the bike (three philips head screws hold the rear cover on the instrument cluster).
