nah. i may have engaged in some discussions over my former quitter of a governor, but i wasn't miffed at all. i just play the part of a curmudgeon in here. and occasionally elsewhere...

not really again. i challenge peoples' assertions sometimes. i think rods were mentioned as a "must have, you're not smart if you don't replace" and i would have used strong language with anyone who speaks in absolutes about mechanical issues, typically.
Zaq, i've got to admit, YOU are kinda retarded. okay, this is a good example of my reputation. i don't suffer fools gladly. when people say stupid things out of ignorance and veil them in a "i know more than you know" context, i typically give them a slap. that "powered trailer" , my El Civico, was a free car. instead of riding a hardtail drag bike in $1000 leathers 50 miles each way to the racetrack just to see if it's raining there, i stay dry now. and i can drink my coffee. enjoy a smoke. carry tools. spare nitrous bottle. laptop for altering PCIII maps. also, my bike is long and low. it can't get on most trailers without high centering. my civic is set up perfectly for transporting that bike, gets 40 mpg (better mileage than the bike), and just flat works. there would be no benefit, and only detriment to pulling a trailer. okay, scratch that. it'd be quieter if the civic still had a roof. but i can deal with noisy. parking at the track in the pits would be harder, driving in general would be a bit more of a pain, i'd have to have a place to store the trailer 8 months of the year...must i go on? haven't i bitched enough ?

MisterMike, not to be a jerk (for a change) but actually i got him down to a 10.26 @ 134. still calling myself "world's quickest 919" unless someone's got evidence to call b.s. on me.
Also, i think i called someone fat because i thought i had a back and forth good natured razzing going with them, just to find out i called the wrong guy fat. so , sorry steve. still, you could pause longer at the salad bar, as of a few years ago anyway...(and so could i)
waiting for crank and rod bearings...should be here this week. new engine is still on my dining room table, waiting for bearings and me to get more motivated. it is my guess, and my goal, that i will be capable of LOW 10's off the juice, and solid mid 9's on it. porting, compression, cams, and a few more cc's ought to help flow the juice through and do something meaningful with it, vs. trying to force mixture through the stock head.
i'd like to reiterate that i had HUNDREDS of wot engine-only drag runs on the bike, and hundreds more on nitrous. and it was MY fault that i holed a piston. don't let people b.s. you about nos. EVERY power adder...cams, compression, forced induction, higher revs...they ALL compromise reliability. this failure was MY fault for operating the NOS system outside of normal or even sensible parameters. on cast pistons.
