I took a quick look at my brakes for my 919 and I noticed that the nipple appeared to be on top of the caliper. It left me wondering why they put it on top? Wouldn't that make the fluid get all over my nice gold calliper?
My last bike had it on the bottom. So any guesses why they would put it on top?
I went with Galfer lines up front a few weeks ago. I wish I had a mighty vac, but I don't. Just get a couple feet of the small clear hose, one for each fitting. Tie a small weight on each end and put on an old coffee can. No mess.
It took about 20 minutes to get all the air out of the new lines. Much better feel at the lever.
