Been needing new tires

Well Thursday I called the Ft Walton Honda and said I need tires. I called Dothan Powersports and was told we only have one kind and we don't mount anything not bought from us attitude ect.......so I hung up and went south. Now I live kinda in between Dothan and Ft Walton so I had to make the call.
Ft Walton said come on down, we have several sets to choose from and I was going to load the bike up and go in the truck.
My 10 year old daughter says Let's ride down. Now I am just exactly 2 months out of my 4th lower back surgery, and said what the heck, let's see if I can make it. 70 miles one way. I made it down, picked out a set of Michlein tires and a new oil filter and out the door for under 300 bucks with the BEST DAMN CUSTOMER SERVICE I have expirenced at any motorcycle shop in 25 years.

The ride home, WOW what a difference a set of tires make, I always said it is always nice to have new tires and my daughter had a ball riding with me. The service dept. lady Jessica was wonderful, and said it is nice to see dad's riding their kids around most people think it is "uncool" but she rides her 6 year old around all the time.

I am one of those that do not give a crap about what people think, I am the guy waving in the air like a goober when the other riders give the two fingers down, I just have to be different and I am out there for ME and MY DAUGHTER to have fun!

Just wanted to share that!

Great experience. Glad you had a great time with your daughter, that's what it's all about, and found a shop that cares about customers.

Glad you like the new tires and your back held up. Very cool that you took your daughter with you too. I bet she was thrilled.

REDROKR,

I am origionally from Warren, AR and I am planing a ride somewhere, and I have a friend in Jacksonville that I ahve been trying to get him to buy a 919 just cause I do know he wants one. Anyways, I am planing a ride somewhere, and since the dragons tail is closed, I was thinking why now swing up to Warren to visit the folks, then go north to Jacksonville pick up Kevin on his KLR 650 and head up to the northeast mountain area just to GO!

So I may be in the area, but my daughter has school during that time, so I will be loaning it!

I hope Kevin gets a 919 before the trip, but either way, we will have some fun!

Ride safe!

I Can and will ride anything!

im about 30 miles south of Branson, and about 105 from conway Ar.
and hiway 7 south is FULL of deer at night, but a hoot during daylight hours, and i bet it would rival, hell, all these backroads here would rival the dragon in twist and turns.
folks come here cause its more laid back, and not as congested as the dragon.
i love it.

Bill

Yea, I almost got a deer on my Springer one morning it was dark still, and like a dumbass I went on the bike while it was THICK FOG. I saw the deer and it jumped right as I was about to hit it, needless to say the ride to work the rest of the way was at 20 MPH, I was late, BUT ALIVE!

I had to clean my jeans afterward, man nothing like that close to get you wide awake and close to your maker!
