Bar end weights...

Oook,

so on the way home, a nice clunking sound behind me, and a bit more buzz on the 9er than usual, and ,, squishy grip on the end... the damn bar end fell-the-F-off! as in gone... lol Ive checked the screws several times, and it was never loose, hmm

anyway, so i figured i'd hit up the rest of you to see if there are any reccomendations for these things, especially since the best time to modify or upgrade is when something else suddenly dissapears, and or removes itself...

so...

also, no the part is not a warranty part, strangely enough (or not so) it is deemed a wear part... so preferrably want to go with something other than stock if its better in any way, since i have to buy a set now.

I know where there's one on the side of the road in Ohio, at least that's where I last saw it bouncing. Whatever you get locktite them in. I've read where a lot of people have had the problem and the locktite fixed it.

What company is it that sells the one that is a throttle lock also?

I got mine from www.hvmp.com
Very nice and heavy stainless steel bar ends. I got the heavier ones, and they seem to help, but don't eliminate the vibes altogether.

I tried the motovation bar ends and then sent them back. I didn't notice a significant reduction in the vibration. (which is fairly minor in my opinion). I figured I would put my money towards the renthal bars. So my vote would be to stick with the stock ends.

Too often we lose sight of life's simple pleasures.
Remember when someone annoys you, that it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown ...
But it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and bitch-slap that mother- upside the head...

Pass it on.

I was looking through that page hvmp very nice... im looking at those or some pro tek ones... the pro teks are cheaper... but probably wont do much on vibes... i plan on getting that suburban machinery bar...

I was wondering, most of the sites that list bar ends dont have em listed for the 919, is there a cross reference for these things, theres gotta be another honda model that would bolt right in there....

I would think any 7/8ths bar end would fit. You may need to take out the internal stock one though.
