Welcome Coop. Good to have another 929 owner in the bunch.

I'll have to keep am eye out for the Erion. There has to be a set on someone's shelf way in back somewhere in the US....

Meanwhile D and D look good, but I know nothing elce about them.

Yoshi CF look good @ $650. But I'm in no hurry.

I'm still trying to sell the 919, but if I don't, This winter, I'm going to replace the stock cans with something lighter.

You might want to find a sound clip of the D&D's or checkout someone else's bike who has them. My Bandit and Blackbird both came with d&d and my friend has one on his 929. I personally would choose anything else.

How about the MIVV X-Cones? Supposedly PJ's Parts has them down here in Kentucky.

Rod, if I hadn't just bought a house, I'd practically give you my Satos and buy the MIVVs myself.

I've heard they are super loud. Like louder than old Satos loud.

D&D Mufflers

I have a set on my 919 and I think sound good not as loud as stock muffler with the bafflers removed. Also have a 1050 Speed Triple with Scorpion's and its not as loud.

Big Red, how's the build quality?

I can't imagine anything being much louder than Satos or my Super Duke with the FMFs, quiet cone removed.

What I like about the D+Ds is that they are pretty close to Erions.

Leo's and Yoshi's are still available....

Find some sound clips on youtupe or whatever. If you like 'em that's all that matters. You owe it to yourself though to at least try to hear what you're considering. I like the sound of Yoshimura exhaust a lot and definitely cannot say the same of the two d&d's I currently own.

D&D's

I got a set of d&d's for fathers day back in 03. My kids bought them with their own money. I didn't have the heart to tell them that I had a new set of sato's in the garage. I was waiting to put them on when I installed my PC. Long story short, the 919 has the d&ds. I installed the sato's once (gen 1)and the sato were considerably louder than the d&d's. Both pipes ran great with LDH's sato map . My butt dyno couldn't tell any difference so I sold the sato's .
Last year I was thinking that the d&d's were getting a little loud for my old ears so I bought d&d's "street pack" refill. Pipes are ALOT quieter but still have a nice rumble at idle .When you punch it , you (and everyone else) know you're on a real bike. You can call d&d direct and order your cans with the street pack instead of their race packing.
Never made any audio clips but I'll be happy to as soon as I get a chance to get it out this year.
I'm not saying that d&d's are better cans than sato's but they do get a bad rap for being real loud . If my kids hadn't got them for me I would be running the sato's that I orginally bought. Just my - gale

just not ANY motorcycle parts. ask dad questions about his bike. spend a little time in the garage with him...if he allows that....

after all, it might be YOUR bike one day.
wish i had my dad's 1928 and 1935 Harley rat bikes right about now...

If you do not mind pricing, some Japanese brands may strike your fancy.

Moriwaki TD Anodized around $1400
TD White Titanium can still be ordered but you need to know someone to source it for you. I ask the guys at MaxMCDirect for Moriwaki replacement parts.

K-Factory Slip-ons around $1400
K-Factory custom one-off full system around $2500

I'm starting to look at K-Factory myself and see if they can make a full blue system...or go with their Diablo Opium (Full Gold)
