Any room for another 919r?

Hi folks,
This "black bike" was in a guys yard since last fall. Since I was planning on letting my old truck go, I needed some wheels and decided to check it out and see what was up with this bike. Turns out it was a 2003 Smoke 919 with only 7500 miles.
Now it's got a good home in my driveway and I couldn't be happier!
I only live 6 miles from work, but it's a joy to get there and back on this bike!
So far I've got a DID530V chain on order and looking forward to changing the oil and filter this weekend.

Welcome Bazooka!
Don't forget sprockets too.
Let's make that chain last as long as possible & get a good start with all new component's.
Keep an eye on the tires for any dry rot.
Then lock tite the shift bolt & bar ends.

I'm sorry but you'r access has been denied. We employ motorcycle affermative action here and we are well above our 919 quota.

There are lowly FZ1's out there who need the opportunity more.

Ahh screw it, welcome!

Does this action cover poor spelling as well?

Thanks for the kind welcome!
PS. Just got home from picking up my new chain. Now I gotta get a rivet setter, and make up my mind about the sprockets, xrmikey.

If you decide to get sprockets, you have no choice(steel) for the front, I would suggest a steel one for the rear for longevity. Any good steel after market sprocket is better than stock.
Aluminum wears too fast on a commuter.
But with a good hard anodizing, they are lasting much longer than in the past.

Didn't want you to think I didn't read that jeff...
I haven't riden a cycle for a long time, so out of respect for my 'new' 9er (which I'm likeing more & more btw) and my own hide, I'm taking it real slow. Today was my first outing on the dreaded 28th STREET! I think you may know what I'm taling about. It's still almost a demo derby out there. I'm glad to say it was uneventful.
So, I won't be doing any of that stuff for a long time.
Thanks for the tip tho.

Jeff, I can throw a rock and hit the parking lot for "The Beltline Bar" from my driveway!
It makes zipping to Gars Honda a very short ride.

Ah yes, I was a bike mechanic at Alger Schwinn for some time! I was bummed to come back for a visit and see the old train bridge repainted. I always liked the railroad logo painting.

Jeff, the next time you visit, your eyes may be averted to the NEW CONCRETE they're laying from the 28th and Division intersection to the overpass at 131. Long overdue and good news for buisnesses like Alger Schwinn!

Thanks str8ghjacket!
