I wear glasses under my helmet and since I moved into colder weather my glasses and shield have been fogging up alot causing me to have to open the shield in bitter cold and rain.
Get a shield with a pinlock insert. Dark smoke for sunny days, clear for night. As far as glasses, maybe contacts? Not sure if that's an option for you. That's what I do....
We've got stuff here in NZ called Spray N Wipe - which is an all surface cleaner. I find that if I spray a little on the inside, it helps significantly.
I called cycle gear about a pinlock shield, they said for my helmet I can only get a adhesive type by FogCity or something so I guess Ill try that. Edit: pretty poor reviews on MS, I guess Ill have to buy a new helmet.
I really like my HJC CL-16 and CL-17. They both have pinlock. Both are relatively quiet considering the price. The 16 doesn't have quite as much ventilation as the 17 though. Get the optional chin guard thingy for added wind protection. It's like an extra $10. Shields are pretty cheap too, easy to swap out, and a ton of color options to choose from if that matters to you. I stick with dark smoke and clear.
I got a 1/2 mask for skiing years ago, it's a nose down wrap and you could force the breath to exit out using something like this. It would add extra warmth at well. Robot Check
Might be able to add a nozzle from the nose to get it to draw away from the face.
I still use the anti-fog stuff that cycle gear sells for inside the visor to help with reducing condensation build up inside the helmet, and I use their version of"rain-x" to help with making water bead off the faceshield. But using anti-fog spray, wipes, etc does not work well on glasses and causes more problems than they are worth.
The foggy mask does a great job of forcing your breaths down and out of the helmet without ever coming into contact with the faceshield.
I have had very good luck with a product called Fogshield Sport from Bausch and Lomb. It is super cheap, and does a great job of keeping fog at bay. It's not as good as a Pinlock for night-time riding, but it is WAY cheaper than a new helmet.
