You're a brave man for sharing that! I feel for you though, have been down that road.

Gin's off to enjoy this beautiful cool fall day riding with her friend Di, I'm sitting at the computer with an icepack on my knee. No reason for her to miss out on riding just because of me though, glad she has another female friend to ride with and lord knows after taking care of me for a couple of weeks she certainly deserves some r & r!

I'm a lucky man Nadia, we make a good pair. That's a MIVV X-Cone exhaust on her 599. She just got that new gear, it's matching leathers from REV'IT. Had been searching for some leather that fit her short stature, tried several different manufacturers and finally found the REV'IT gear that's available in short pants lengths. Fits her great, italian leather, very high quality and the jacket and pants zip together. Was her first time riding in it today, I made her model for me...

For some reason, your picture reminded me of my wife. However, my wife has a black 599.

Oh yeah, I've put far more miles on by myself than she has, proud of her that she's confident and competent enough to take off for a day's riding on her own.

How old is that beautiful little girl of yours gonna be when she goes for her first ride?

I was just trying to figure out if that was a black 599 when you updated your post. Nice action shot, gotta love women on Hornets!

It wont be long, LOL.

Its pretty cool that Gin not only has the confidence to ride on her own, but also enjoys riding enough that she cant wait for you to heal up to go for a spin.

That bike can be a hand full on slippery grass (stock tires?). Get well soon so you can get back out there wih Gin.

Exactly, wet grass with stock tires, evidently not a good combo!

But enough crash talk, Gin's off enjoying this great day with her friend and I hope they're having a blast!

I warmed her bike up for her and aired up the tires, got some exhaust stink still wafting off my tshirt, that'll have to do for now. Actually I sat on her GS, thought maybe being low to the ground I might have some hope of riding it, but can't get my leg on the peg. I then came to a realization, the only bike in the garage I'd have any hope of riding is the Vulcan 500 because of the foward pegs. I've been reduced to baby cruisers!

I just emailed, IM'd, facebook pinged, and dropped a line on Gin's MySpace page that I'm here for her if she needs a riding partner.

Cuz that's what friends are for.

Yeah, she said she loved the new leathers, kept her warm on a cool day and were very comfortable, plus she felt safe. Glad I finally found something that fit her, Motorcycle Superstore must have my account flagged by now as the guy that buys stuff just for the fun of returning it!

Scott, what color are the tank and tailpiece (badges) stickers on Gin's yellow bike?

Would the chrome looking stickers look good with yellow?

Are you out for the count this season? I'd still like to have a Hoosier Ride.

The decals are kind of a bronze/silver tone. Would have to see the chrome stickers you're talking about to give an opinion. Love the color of her bike though!

I'm not riding anytime soon, guessing it'll be late October, early November before I'm on the road again.

I thought that was a cool shot, showed it to Gin when she got home last evening and she said it was sad, like she was abandoning me. Hmm, guilty conscience for being out all day having fun on two wheels while I sat home bored?

Women riders sure look nice in their new leathers especially on a sporty bike, tail hiked up an all.
Yep, Ya ought to heal up right quick! That picture of her riding off by herself should work just like a steroid on that injury, I tell ya what!
I hope ya get better soon, for your mental health
