Accidental Wheelie

Got the front tire of my 919 off the ground for the first time last Sunday. I had to merge into traffic and got a little throttle happy and up it came. Scared the poo out of me. It felt like it wa 4 feet in the air... probably just a couple of inches. My buddy said he's surprised it's taken me 4 months to do it cause he says it'd be easy to wheelie the 919. It just reiterated for me that the 919 CAN be a beast if you aren't careful with the throttle.

fyi, It's even easier to do when you are leaning it over a little(like when merging) and then hit the throttle as you are straightening out the bike.

Rubber side down.

Oh, man!

Guess the highchairs and stand-ups are next. After that he'll be doing stoppies.

Then we'll see him on an episode of Superbikes!!

It's a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart.

On that note, when I went to the Superbike race Saturday at VIR, there was only 1 other 919 in the entire bike area. I was happy and sad at the same time. I like the rarity but I wanted to see some other people's mods in person. Maybe I'll see more at Road Atlanta??
