I think Kevin919 might be the king on this subject. He rode his 919 to Nicaragua and back. I think he is in the 50k plus range. You can read about his South America Trek in the Touring Journal portion of this forum. It is a great write up and has some awesome pics.

Motorusher formally known as DirtySanchez919.

Only 12k in five months on the road but since returning from The Tail of The Dragon dreams nightly include running the damned thing three of four times before sunrise... must count for, um, another 12k virtual (s)miles.

Awsome to see there are some riders out there. Today is the 4 year anaversary for me and my 919. She is an 02 bought new 6/24/03. She has 50334 miles.

So far the cam chain tensioner is original and the vlaves have been dead nuts since day one. She has been to Main (at one month old, license 3 days old), Florida (via WV's Summit point), Pikes Peak CO (not to race)/WY. And TN's deals gap more times than I can count (last time totaled by a tree, but she is back and better than ever). Starting point is OH.

18,500 miles. 2006 919 bought in May 06. Checked the valves at 16k. No 1 cycinder had a exhaust valve with a clearance 0.001" too big. Not enough for me to worry about. All other valves in spec. Replaced stock chain at 18K (pretty noisy then) with DID X-ring chaing. Love the new chain. It's like a new bike. Just replaced the brake fluid too. I commute 30 miles per day here in Phoenix year round and get 46 miles per gallon and we have the car pool lane here, priceless...

Guess my '02 is just a beginner bike. Bought it about 14 months ago with 3500 miles, just now nearing 10,000.

wow, I'm a SLACKER, bought my '04 new in '05 with 3 miles on the odometer, it now has a meager 4375 miles on it and I ride it as often as I can. Time to buy my son a helmet and start dragging him to school on the 9er.

Bought her June of 06 with 2,000 miles on her. Left the country for oh....8 months? So in about 13/14 months I put just over 15,000 on her. Odometer reading 17,500 right now.

I can't say how many miles I have on cause I live in Canada, but......almost 100 000Kms. That is 62500 miles. Still runs strong. I rode From Calgary, AB Canada to New York and back. Gone for 16 days and 16 000 Kms. I have had my 9er to 26 states and 5 provinces. Look at a map and see where Calgary is!

34,416 miles. An '04 bought in June of 2004. Ridden to work (60 miles one way), occasionally around town on the weekends. Other than that, I've not ridden it out of the state! On friday afternoon when I come home, I park the '9'er and apologize to my Dodge pickup.

02 919 - 35000 mile when I sold it 2 months ago. Other than rusted out rear bearing - no problem what so ever. Mainly 40 mile commute a day.
