919s at the nyc bike show

ok, maybe the title to this post is a little misleading, but let me put it this way - i walked out of there having looked at bikes for 2 hours, and wouldn't have traded any one of those for my little 9'er. nota one. ... of course ktm wasn't at the show...

no, they had most current models on display, and even some protos, like the new v-max (ugly), and fresh-from-proto, like the cruiser victory (WILD). it wasn't bad. loadsa new beemers was the most notable, i guess. they did have some awesome ducies, urals, and mv augs (the cheaper ones, at any rate).

the most disappointing, i didn't mention earlier - not only no KTMs, but also no triumphs! wtf...?

also, some really cool royal enfields, sorry, i forgot

BraveHeart

Check out the custom 919 built by Roland Sands. You can buy a raffle ticket for the bike which BTW is for a worthy cause. Roland was on hand to sign posters and chit-chat.

The Ducati is soooooo sweet! Everything about it is just too sexy. I have to wonder tho if the single-sided swingarm and axle would hold up as well to the extra abuse that the Motards take as opposed to a strictly road race bike. Whaddaya'll think?

It's a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart.
