WOW!!! I would get in trouble with something like this!!

"Peak horsepower is 140 HP at 9000 rpm, and peak torque is 85 lb/ft at 8000 rpm, compared to 94/58 for the stock bike. This was on a Dynojet corrected for Denver's altitude.

The 919T makes quite a bit more power and torque than the CBR1000RR in the midrange, which is just where you need it. At 7000 rpm, the 919T is making 17 HP and 14 lb/ft torque more than the CBR1000RR."

...gotta wipe all the drool off the keyboard...

Is it me or is the turbo sticker crooked a bit?

Price is right, I'd like to see some test results and know if reliability if effective much.

And I'd personally rather see it have a PCIII......

I dunno......

From what I understand production has been started and he has chosen a 919 owner to be the first customer and write a review. I believe the 1st kit is to be shipped out late next week, so a consumer review with picts and a good write up should be coming shortly. . . seems like a solid kit to me, I believe the price is $2,400 (usd) and the 7 lb boost should not take any much (if any) engine life.

now.......... after a few months of filling the coffers back up it is a very very good posibility that one of these will reside on that pretty red 919 parked out side..........

I think I'll wait to see a review, but it's not like a bike has never been turboed before. I just need something easy to install.

The price isn't so bad either. I've almost spent that much already on upgrades.

I was going to spend some money on a CCW and a new pistol but maybe I should get this kit instead.

If Barton does it, i'm in!

There is a short thread about this over in the media section. . . anyway, if you think about it the price of a full exhaust system and pcIII gets up to, or over, half the cost of the system. So, maybe 10hp for $1200 or about 45hp for $2400?

I'm gonna do it! Maybe not now, since I still need to recover from my recent splurge, but hopefully later this year!!

I mean why not. I already spent way too much on my 919, so it's not like I'm gonna ever get rid of it.

Haha exactly!! I've already spent way more than I could ever hope to get out of my bike, and I'm still not done with it. My bike is distictly mine and I love it, regardless of the cost.
I want to hear reports on this before I even consider this one though. It IS very tempting...

F'n sweet! I guesss I drug my feet too much. So much for being the first guy that actually finishes a turbo project. Big talk from someone who hasn't started yet.
Definitly interested in seeing how that thing looks and preforms. should be any issues with bikess life expectancy with only 6 psi and a kit. Since kits are usually tuned on the safe side. Glad to see the aftermarket is responding to our enthusatic nich market.

I'm excited to see what kind of results we'll be getting. Is the dyno he posted from an actual bike, or is just projected? If it is from a real bike, where are the pics?

i think im gonna do the nitrous route...i would like a turbo but 2500 and having to use an exhaust that looks like the stock one would suck. i absolutely hate the look of the stock cans...it says to write him letting him know what kinda exhaust we have...wonder if he could make it work with a gp style exhaust some how?? if so, and a group buy happens, maybe id be down. im gonna buy a nitrous kit in the next month or so if anyone is down, or if the price on this kit comes down any. anyone else down, i know i can get a group buy going on some nitrous kits...

i would recover the cost of that in less than two years just from insurance premiums saved by keeping the niner versus going to a liter bike. hmm very interesting.

I emailed bill and this was his reply:
"We have about 11k miles on our test bike, 1000 hard miles with the turbo on
it. It still runs great, a blast to ride. We have the bike apart right now
taking pictures for the installation manual, but plan to get more pics on
the website by the weekend.

Reliability - we are specifying Castrol 5w-40 synthetic oil for the bike and
frequent oil changes. This will help the turbo live but will help the engine
live also. The extra power will cause more wear on the engine and
drivetrain, but if you maintain the bike and use the good oil, not too bad.
Honda builds strong engines, and the 919 is really a 900RR, which is plenty
stout. So, if the system is installed properly, and you use good gas, and
keep the boost limited to 7 psi, you shouldn't have any problems."

His screen name is WAVE_Guy and he said he'd be here tomorrow.

Honestly it's just a cosmetic complaint, but I wouldn't want to go back to the look of stock cans on my badass turbo bike. Wonder if there would be a way to make it work right through twin exhausts instead of routing just through one?

I'm sure once it gets into production that owners will be tweeking it to their personal tastes.

That'll be awesome if he chimes in. He needs to get feedback from 919 owners, so hopefully he can address these issues (ie: exhaust cans options).

I don't think the rear swing arm can take 130-140 hp regularly.

You see...

They have specific designs for the kind of hp

But it would be neat to read a thread in WT.

Somebody buy this thing!

looks like fun but here in AZ I would be changing oil every 100 miles......919 runs way hot anyway.

Still might do it after some reviews.
