Exclamation 919 Patches - Pitch me your ideas

Thanks to all who have participated in the purchase of the hornet decals, looks like they were a hit.

Now, I've been seeing a couple people here & there speaking up about patches...
I'd like to keep the discussion in this thread specifically on pitching ideas of what you'd like to see in a patch.
Later, when we've got our layouts approved, there will hopefully be another thread started so that we can take orders & get 'em distributed
(just like we did with the labels).

Please keep in mind that there are A LOT of you out there, each with good ideas and we will probably only get 2 or 3 final designs.
So I'll do what I can to get you what you want, but if I get too many different ideas, some are gonna get cut off the list and the limitations of the design could very well be a factor due to the process by which they are made.

Make sense?

I'll try to have a few ideas posted soon based on the label designs and mtbkrman's suggestion over in the decal thread.
Stay tuned for images to come, let's get this thing done.

Maybe when this is done, we can tackle the t-shirt designs in a separate thread.
But for now, let's keep this one dedicated to patch designs.

Thanks all!

Abba Zaba, you my only friend.

This is the one I picked up years ago. I think it came from someone on the Hornet's Nest.

What's wrong with the same design as the stickers? Looks like mike's patch, but modern.

I agree I like the sticker.... That would make a great patch

Oh, I totally agree.

I don't have any experience with getting them made. I don't know what the limitations of the manufacturer are. My knowledge is in print.

As posted in the decal thread, I've been getting some quotes on patches. I've been quoting a 3.5 x 4.5 patch just like the decal. Right now for a qty of 50 (because that's how many people ordered decals) it's looking like they will be around $3.50 . If people respom\nd and order more then, the price comes down. Again, this is NOT the final price, but I am working on it.

There's your plan and then there's God's plan.........
Your's doesn't matter.

Can I get an anti-919 patch made as a one-off?

I'd buy two that were the Yellow Hornet, with a Black 919 under it. Same size as the large decal would be great.

I would buy a few that had the new hornet design (same as the decals.) The only change I might suggest is moving his hand or stinger a little so it doesn't look so much like he is "fisting his stinger" as my wife put it.

The design I mentioned in the Decal forum was intended to be attached to the back of my riding jacket. I want it to fit and be minimal. I am in the process of selecting a local shop to get it done. If I can figure out how i'll post a photo on here when it's done.

I'd prefer a simple "919" patch

Since my bike is not technically a Hornet as they are across the pond, but a 919, I'd love to have a patch with an exact replica of the 919 decal on the tail section. Maybe stupid people would think you're in some wierd cult or something or would ask you what those numbers meant, but I'm pretty sure that anyone who owns a Honda (or any bikes for that matter) would know what your patch stood for.

I was going to find a patch place locally because they're really not that rediculous in price, especially if you go to one of those places that do embroidery for military uniforms or something.

But I'll hold off on having one made until I see what you end up with for a final product. Besides, I've had my NHRA Member patch for several months and it's still sitting on the kitchen counter.
