919 Headlight on 600RR

So I have random thoughts about the status of my 04 RR and thought about breeding her as a naked commuter bike.

Question is, has anyone put the headlight assembly off the Hornet onto a 600RR. Seems like it would bolt right up with some minor tweeking (forks seem to be the same).

Or if you have a headlight assembly you would be willing to part out, please drop me a pm.

If you go ahead with the idea of fightering out your 600RR, please keep us posted. Sounds very interesting.

If you want any ideas or maybe even parts, get ahold of Ceph from 600RR.net. He streetfightered his RR. Looked pretty good.

yeah ceph got the idea in my head... just wondering if the 919 brackets and such match up to the fork spacing? Will be looking to take a trip to the dealer to get some measurements.

I know someone did it to a 1KRR a while back, not sure how different it would be to do it to the 600. He used custom triples, though, which adds quite a decent amount of $$ to the equation.

dayrock, I will be modding the SV650 I just bought. It has a Round Headlight as well (much like the 919), if you give me a few more days, I can make you a sweet deal on it.

Thanks for the offer... Got sidetracked this weekend and need to get into the bike more to figure out total damage to my wallet. Head light seems to be logical place to start, followed by turn signal connections.

Bad thing is I went squirrel happly when race prepping my bike. Which means, I just cut off almost any plug which wasn't need (hindsights always 20/20). I now need to go back through my bike and see if I have enough wire to salvage the connections.

Keep me posted.
