919 Gauge Covers

Somehow the previous owner of my 04 919 managed to crash and damage the gauge cover. I'm not a big fan of the chrome 03+ covers, but I saw that the 02 covers were all black. Also, the 04 599 gauge covers are grey and black. Does anyone know if the 02 or 599 covers will fit on the 04 919? Or am I stuck with trying to paint a chromed 04 cover?

And I already know to avoid the cheap chinese gauge covers. I thought about them for a little while, but I have yet to read a decent review of them, and they are only $20 cheaper than the OEM part.

Another reason to know is the 599 gauge cover appears to be about half the price of the 919 gauge covers. And saving $35 on any single part is something that interests me.

I know the previous years 919 covers will fit because I changed my 07 chrome cover out for the black one.
I do not know about the 599 cover.
