Red face 919 fuel tank (rust no extra charge) available

I replaced the fuel tank on my 919 for rust that had built up over the years as the previous owner let the bike rot in his garage.

The old tank is damn near perfect on the outside and theres rust on the inside that needs to be sealed.

If anyone is interested Im letting this go for a song.

This tank is the 49 state version. Fuel pump assembly and locking cap not included, tank only.

Im not a rust pusher, just know that there cant be too many of these uranium green 919 tanks left on this planet.

May be interested. Any more pics of the rust and how bad it is? Like flaking or just surface rust?

I didnt think it looked that bad, I was going to go at it with MetalRescue and not even seal it. On the other hand when I got to the dealer he showed me a ton of flaking rust that fell out when he drained the gas. I was surprised.
I think if you bathed this in metal rescue you could get 3-5 years out of it without the rust coming back but what do I know. I dont think its anywhere close to rusting out though.

First of all, what song? Secondly, if you still have it, how much to 32065?
