919 for 2007

I want to update the 919 helpful topics thread https://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=1209 to include to 07' model year. Did Honda change anything?

2006:

Wine (better known to us as candy red)
Adjustable preload and rebound damping for front fork
Adjustable rebound damping for rear shock
Black valve cover and side covers retained
Chrome gauge package

Um, the MSRP went up $100? That's the only difference between '06 and '07 specs according to the Honda site.

That site still can't get the suspension specs. correct.

Quote:
Front Suspension 43.0mm cartridge fork with adjustable preload and compression-damping; 4.3 inch travel
No compression, only adjustable rebound!

Quote:
Rear Suspension Single shock with seven-position spring-preload adjustability; 5.0-inch travel
Adjustable rebound omitted.

im holding out for the euro version of the 07 599... fuel injection and 110 hp... with half the insurance.

and badass looking front end.

ive given up on changes to the 919 ... its gonna be like the nighthawk of the 80's and 90s... 15-20 year production run with almost no changes.

I hope that doesn't happen, that would (to me) devalue my bike if it went unchanged for 20 years. I would like the 919 to be an old classic looking bike then and known to be rare with only a few men (or women) lucky enough to have raped it's haunches.

I never understood why they used that old carb setup on the 599. Why not build a naked F4i?

If the 599 would have been a newer fuel injected motor from the start, I would have rode one of those home from the dealer instead of my 9er.

I have been more than satisfied with the 919 though, and love it! It would take alot of convincing to get me to trade it or sell it for something else.

There appears to be no changes to the '07 model except a $100 increase in the MSRP. So be it!!!

Not so fast, Mike! don't forget this thread https://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=4135 , where it appears that the new 919 may have an all black motor (at least in Europe).

It might be true for the Euro only but not as far as what is being offered here in the USA. I was at the International motorcycle show in NYC a few weeks ago. The 2007 919 that Honda had on display looked exactly like the 2006. If and when someone on our shores buys that Euro model I will be more than happy to update our information.
