919 First MPG

I just filled up my new 919 and checked the MPG for the first time...47 MPG! That's for the first 170 miles and I was not taking it easy. I am very pleased with this because I wasn't expecting anything over the low 40's. This means I should be over 50 MPG when I slow down and complete the "breaking-in" process.

Also, how much reserve does the 919 normally have? When the low fuel indicator came on, I filled the bike up within a few miles. To my surprise, the bike only held 3.68 gallons. That means if the bike holds 5 gallons, I still had well over a gallon left, or per my calculations another 60 miles or so of range. Is that accurate? It seems high to me.

No, that's pretty much where mine comes on. I have also noticed the light will come on if you're cornering hard (and go out again after a minute or two) when you're getting close to it coming on, maybe 10 or 15 miles before it comes on for real.
