900RR headers on the cheap!

Looks like a great deal, doesn't it? Maybe I'll pick it up.

That's a pretty good deal. I paid 15 for my 99 header/exhaust, but I had to pay 65 shipping. Now, if only I could find a nice aftermarket exhaust for a decent price...

Wow, I wish I could find deals like that around here. You can't go wrong for $15!

I got a vance and hiines full system for $500 from my Honda dealer. V&H is out of the sport bike bus. so you can find the new old stock still out there for decent cash.

Jump on it, even if you don't like it you didn't pay much, and you can re-sell it for a profit.

Do it! Do it! At that price you cannot go wrong even if you find you did not like it someone will take it off your hands.

every time i read, "you can't go wrong" i say, "liar".

but can you go VERY wrong?

could the header pipes be bent, allowing an exhaust leak and subsequent burned valve? can there be a small weld crack that allows the header to come apart? maybe melt a wiring harness or burn a belly pan ?

sincerely,

a guy who bought a used 900RR pipe...from a fellow forum member

15 bucks don't sound like much of a bargain once reality sets in that you just burned a valve by an inferior used part. Buyer beware!
But, OTOH they might just be the ticket for your next grinnin session on yer 9er, just never know.
