Looks good Barry. Do you have another pic from the front? Any details we should know about the mounting? Is it a simple bolt up?

Looks nice, did it bolt directly up? I didn't realize it had a different shape over all than the 919 screen did and it looks to sit further back than the 919 screen does.

Honda got smart this time around with the smoke color. instead of the rose colored 919 screen.

Had to bend brackets for the mounting holes to line up, different angle, the spacing on the 599 brackets are wider. I slotted the rear mounting screw holes (towards the forks) where they would line up. I am happy with the way it looks, haven't rode it yet. Got the screen new off of ebay.

I just returned my screen yesterday!!
I was thinking about lining up the bottom holes then marking the top holes and drilling the top hole down enough to make it work, but then it seems like the rubber stoppers wouldn't have contacted on the back of the guages correctly. I didn't think about bending it tho...that might have been easier.

Did you paint your brackets black?? Mine were gray.

Yes they were gray, I painted them since everything else was black.

I guess this isn't really a "proper" first post, but I always dive right in to everything.

John Conlee sang karaoke at the little dive bar "Ms. Newby's" behind my house a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the info. It just proves that lots of things that aren't supposed to fit will, if you twist their tail a little. The screen that worked best on my 919 was a re-worked Kawa ZR7. That's the one I busted in my jump-off last winter.

so...if I bought one of the 599 screens, do you think it will bolt onto the Honda 919 factory screen brackets?
