2003 919 fix up.

Hey, I haven't been here in a while since I sold my first 919 a few years ago. Earlier this year, I picked-up another one in really rough shape for $1000.
I didnít do a great job with my before pics. I missed shots of the nasty grey seat cover, the tail section (which was damaged), the stupid bar-end mirrors that hit the tank at full turn, and the badly rashed stator cover on the left side and more. Her she is finished with some before/after shots further down.

Work included:
-Strip and repair/paint all body work and new decals. Paint is three parts, four if you count primer. White base, pearl top coat and clear final. The tank had two pretty bad dents in it, one on the left side and one right on top.
-repair and paint both engine side covers
-replace rear wheel with used one from ebay. It had a destroyed wheel bearing which is why it was for sale in the first place. Swapped tire over since it is still pretty new and has good tread.
-paint wheels and rear grab bar
-adapt license plate hanger and light from 86 Honda and mount to tail. The old hack job was a disaster and simply had a bare bulb hanging down by two wires to Ďlightí the license plate.
-repaired sticking starter button
-new grips and bar ends
-new mirrors
-replace gauge casing that was cracked and rashed with used one from ebay.
-new clutch cable
-new clutch and brake levers
-recovered seat
-new foot pegs
-new chain, front and rear sprockets.
-new front tire
-new rear brake pads
-clean and polish exhaust headers
-repaired front signal mounts.
-lots and lots of cleaning.

That looks awesome! Great work! I love the white and red paint job. Could you show a picture of the license plate frame after you adapted it? Just curious as to what it looks like. It doesn't sound like you did any mechanical repairs to the engine so hopefully that's running well for you.

Very nice and I love white bodywork.
How did you do the red graphics?
Paint or decals?

Nice job looks really good. I have some decals under a clear coat as well. No one is jealous of them...
