2 helmets?

Might be a dumb question, but in my personal opinion the helmet lock on the 919 is completely useless especially when you have 2 helmets when riding 2 up. Does anybody know if there is a way to lock 2 helmets to the bike, without using the OEM helmet loop/lock that is on the bike? Like I said, might be a dumb question, but just had to ask.

I was thinking of trying to fabricate something but can't figure where the best place to attach it would be.

I carry mine with me everywhere. In front of my house or my friends, I just turn the handlebars all the way to the left, and put it on the tank and resting against the handlebars.

My friends Shoei got keyed or cut by a knife by someone. Sucks about his 500+ dollar helmet, but I scored his brand new tinted visor for 20 bucks. Don't leave it out in public places.

I went and got two clip rings (like those used for safety chains) and clipped one around one of the rear fairing bolt, and the other one clips into that one. I hooked the bungie strap through it because it gives is a little bit more stability and keeps it from flopping around. If I am attaching one helmet, I just hook the D-rings through, if I'm connecting two helmets, I use the cable and hook the other helmet on with that.

Another really good idea without the cost, I will have to pick some of those rings up until I get some extra cash.

There is a wire with looped ends in the toolkit. You are supposed run it through the D-ring on your helmet, and hook it to a hook under the seat, a true pain in the rear.

I kind of like the looks of this one from the link wagner posted.

They also have a 2 helmet version shown.

You've got to be kidding me?! That's a joke. Why in the world would they even begin to suggest something like that? I mean this bike has electronic fuel injection and a computer onboard to control it and they give you a piece of wire to tie you helmet to the bike? They may as well have put wooden tires on it.

I was wondering if the OEM blinkers would be in the way.

I'm a cheap guy so I use a pistol cable lock that I got for free at the range. I loop it through the D-ring and the cross bar on my Renthal bar. I just keep it in my jacket pocket.

I do the same thing I use the cable gun lock that came with my shotgun. I loop it through the helmet opening and around the grab handle. I've heard of people cutting the chin strap to steal helmets.

It's only to keep the honest people in line... If they really want it that bad they can have at it... I could use a new one anyway

Well, it MAY be an urban myth....but do you really want to find out?

It'd probably be the sort of thing that would appeal to the type of half-wit that breaks your car radio antenna or windscreen wipers off for fun (and because they have a really small penis)

Has anybody tried these or know if they would fit a Renthal Streetfighter bar. I know the inside diameter is 14mm.
