Spend about a half an hour on those header pipes.Scotch Bright with some 3 in 1 oil on it.

Other than that, I like it a lot.

A simple "Welcome" might be ok, Sniper, since it is 911/919's first post.

I mean, we can wait until the SECOND post to opine that if we are not going to spend an hour on those pipes, then maybe just go with gold rear sets, levers, and forks to help make it seem as if the color of those pipes is intentional.

huzzaaaaaaa! finally a picture with the mori pipes! as you can see, we are largely modaholics, but there is much good to be found on WT! Welcome, and leave the pipes... i've seen v-twins that longed for the golden color that stainless pipes turn just keep it on the road!

30,000 mile 919 survivor. No plans of stopping the abuse any time soon.

Buying a used bike is a bit of a different experence than buying new. Sometimes you like what they did, sometimes have to un-do what the previous owner did.

I bought a used Pearl 600RR in the fall of 07. It looked like the kid-squid that I bought it from, used it for a dirtbike. He had an alarm on it, probably because he didn't have any insurance. Anyways, he had this alarm strapped to the muffler. Needless to say the alarm didn't last long. I had to take that bike apart when I got home. But, it had only 3400 miles, and it's a tough little bike and it's not been hurt. It has a stainless exhaust also.

The pipes on that 6 looked even worse than the pipes on your 9. They're stainless steel and require a good scotch brite treatment at least 3 times a year. Nice lookin pipes really brighten up a bike.

Welcome to the asylum. You will not be aloud to leave, so get used to it.

And, Thanks for the 3 in 1 idea, I'll try it. I tried to clean them with different types of metal polish, with no luck.
