06' 919 knocker over - need parts

Hey all.

A buddy of mine borrowed my 06' 919 and parked it on the street. He came out and someone was helping the bike back up..... Someone had knocked it over with their bumper.

The motovation frame sliders worked at protecting the engine and tank, thankfully. However, the following needs replacing:

1 mirror (bent / smashed)
1 bar end / weight (scuffed)
1 seat (torn - I may have this revinyl'd by this place for $120 + shipping)
1 rear seat cowl - 06' red (cracked - I'm sure this will be the toughest to find)
1 rear exhaust housing (scraped - not sure which side yet, will find out tonight)

I know all you modders out there have some of this stuff lying around!! Let me know if you would like to part way's with your good to like-new condition stock parts!

Also if anyone has any suggestions on where to find the seat cowl, as I'm sure this will be the toughest to find.

Cheers

Walker

Feel free to PM me.

That sux! Hit and run? What about an insurance claim? Yours or theirs, I'd look into it.

As for the seat, the stock is just one piece of vinyl stretched and stapled I believe. You could just order a piece of vinyl, get a stapler from home depot (or similar hardware store) with some 5/8th" staples and put a new one on.

Or opt for a Sargent rebuild. Bit pricier though.

Thanks for all the replys and pm's. Still searching for that rear cowl in 06' red. I'm ready to pull the trigger at 2006 Honda CB900F 919 OEM Parts, 2006 Honda CB900F 919 OEM Motorcycle Parts - BikeBandit.com

Any better / cheaper OEM sites out there?

Thanks!

Somewhat cheaper

I just got a cowl off ebay for $20, but I'm going to paint it so I didn't care about color. There are still a couple on ebay for cheap if you want to paint.

If you want a simple seat re-cover, this stuff works great. Just staple it on.

If you're gonna do that why not have Spencers Motorcycle Seat Mods re-shape your foam so it's more comfy: http://greatdaytoride.com/Home_Page.php

I'd like to return the bike to as close to stock as possible so no painting... this site definitely cheaper - Thanks!!

I'm assuming the cowl come with the 919 and honda markings on it.

I know you can order them separately : Ronayers.com Fiche Desktop Motorcycle Honda 2006 CB900F MARKS

..but in the picture on the OEM fiche, it shows them as on there. I'm assuming that means it comes with them already attached. Anyone order one of these before?

Cheers

Try

www.cyclepartswarehouse.com as well. Possibly the best pricing.

I just got a box of parts delivered to New Zealand after the bike went over in a bloody Earthquake. Parts pricing here is mental and I saved hundreds ordering from the USA.

It would pay to phone them re the tail piece regarding colour and if they come with stickers attached - I'd expect the stickers to be separate (but I may be wrong).

Good excuse to order some bling for the bike too aye.

I've nevr bought OEM bodywork but I assume that the stickers are included, since they are under the clearcoat. As far as mirrors go, I'm local ad I have some stockers you can borrow, or some $20 china mirrirs you can borrow.

Only the wings on the tank are under the clearcoat. I believe that decals cost extra, but not 100%.
