ZX14 anyone?

I for one think it looks like a US locomotive. It would appeal to me if it were more in line with the 10R in style with higher windshield and bars. I think as an open highway starship, it couldn't be beat with aforementioned changes.
Just to see the dyno figures would be worth the price of admission!
More power to the pee pole!!!!!!!!

What frightens me is the thought of some rich squid buying one and turning himself into an aluminum fireball. I agree it would make a great interstate rocket, though. My bro's ZX9R is big, beefy, and comfy like a sportbike shouldn't be and it makes for a great highway machine so I can only imagine having another HALF A LITER plus more modern aero

No. Due to the japan contract thingy...bikes are now limited to 300km/hr. Or 186mph (roughly)

Suuuure, and their cars have "276" horsepower and not 400. In all seriousness, I think they bailed on the agreement with this bike but I have no proof.

Looks like I'm going to have to change my screen name, the CBRXX is going bye-bye. My ZX-14 is still not in, called the dealer yesterday. He's saying within the next 2-weeks. Staying with the fastest color "black". Might have to add extra hp with yellow pinstriping. This year will be my first time dealing with Muzzy.

Sat on it at the NYC Bike Show. Sits like the ZZR, more room than the XX, and not as stretched as the Busa. I like most of the look. The only thing I don't like (the most obvious) is the resemblance to the old Suzuki.

The first time I saw a pic, I agreed. But, in person. It's like that ugly puppy, ugly in a cute/attractive way.

The only problem I have with it is the resemblence to the Suzuki RF900 with those side vents.

Better looking than a Busa.
I think the look was led by the need to be very aerodynamic.

Busas look like giant turds, so that isn't saying too much. I don't really think the ZX14 is all that ugly, though, just bland.

On another note, does anyone know if they're planning a ZZR version of this guy? I could have sworn I read an article suggesting a ZZR 1400.

So, it's like colder than a well diggers ass in MA, so why not have that black locomotive sent out here to sunny Ca for it's break in. I'll give her back with a minimum of man juice lodged in her seat.

A well diggers a$$? Now that thar is funny. But, I must ask how you would know?

And, yes it went from 61F to 12F (windchills -20F) in a matter of one day last week! If you were closer, you'd be free to take.

And, it's not firggin' ugly you poopy head.

That thing looks like it would rip your head off and peepee down your gaping air hole while making your disembodied head watch the whole process just before your brain died from lack of oxygen.

In other words, I like it....but not the ZX14, sorry RC51_CBRXX

Last I heard there is a dealer in BC that has a Tornado in stock but TransportCanada will not certify it. The TNT Sport is being imported into the USA this year, price unknown. They were going for 14,500 euros last year in Germany but the price is supposed to be down on them since a Chinese company bought them out. Russians wanted to buy them but some Italian laws prohibited that. I checked them out last year in Germany and believe me , Sporty, if you sit on one you feel like God made it for you. It ain't no crotch rocket but wow. Three cylinder- only137 hp but a lot of torque. They all have a switch which sets the computer from a hi-low HP . City/country driving I guess.

S**t, you've got a wierd imagination don't you. That Tornado looks good until you sit on it. Take a close look at that gas tank. The hook shape on the back of that thing hits you dead in the middle of the pubic bone. I sat on it and I'll tell you there is no way I could make it to the nearest red light. If you ever get the chance try it .

During a top secret test in Phoenix Arizona, with whether conditions, a beautiful 80 degrees with an adjusted altitude of 1800 ft.........a 2006 Hayabusa and a 2006 Kawasaki ZX14 were run head to head, both with 800 miles on them, both with stock gearing, stock pipes, stock height, stock tires(same air pressure),stock settings on chassis, same gas out of same jug(pump), and same rider(me)
alternating between both bikes after 4 runs a piece.

After 4 runs on the Hayabusa, a baseline ET of [email protected] 141.55

4 runs on the ZX14 netted a baseline of 9.77 at 145.89

after 6 sets of 4 runs a piece ,the best numbers looked like this
Hayabusa--------ZX
1.66--------------1.66
4.31--------------4.34
6.34--------------6.27
114.44 mph-----117.10 mph

[email protected]@146.20 STOCK HEIGHT!!!!!!!

Without being biased, if anyone ever gets a chance to ride the 2 bikes, one behind the other, you too will be amazed at how much of a difference you feel in acceleration.

The 06 Busa is still a respectable and capable motorcycle!

The Busa is dethroned!! HOORAY! Now the squids will quit saying they have the fastest straight line bike. And, as an added bonus, sport touring folks have yet another viable option for a blazing fast 2 wheeled death machine that munches the miles.

As promised..........................here are the official numbers and info everyone around the country is waiting for.

I am doing this as a public service so lets not let this get out of hand with the non-believers.

These are real production motorcycles and the performances are real, and realistic, and can be duplicated with any off the shelf ZX14, cause we have tested more than one with same results.
I hope no one has built up there expectations so high that the real numbers are un-impressive.........................but here it is.

2006 Kawasaki ZX14
mods-------slammed
no air filter
THATS IT!!!!

Stock pipes
stock gearing
87 octane pump gas
stock tires
ABSOLUTELY NO TRICKS

60ft ............... 1.56
330ft ............. 4.04
660ft ..............6.08 @ 120.90
1000ft ............7.85

1320ft 9.36 @ 147.71

remember this was acheived with stock gearing, most notable was 47 runs in one day with same clutch.
At one point we made 12 back to back runs, clutch is UNBELIEVABLE!!! STOCK GEARING!!!!!!!!

Torque is unbeleivable, and allows you to leave under 4000 RPM and still have to fight the front wheel.

Another Ricky Gadson quote.

的 said I never had much use for one.
Never said I didn't know how to use it."

Pending a style update in 2007, I might be looking at my new bike.
