man...that team must be hurting to have to sell it's old bike.

What do they normally do with an old mode...assuming it didn't get trashed on the track? Do they sell them, strip them down for parts?

One of three thing happen -

1 - Display - either @ the manufactors HQ or traveling like @ the IMS or the like

2 - The guy who won on it gets to keep it

3 - It gets crushed - Not parting out, no keeping the forks - it gets loaded into a car crusher and it gets made into a cube - Sad, sad stuff !

Thats what makes this so cool !

a lot of race cars get parted out, sold to smaller race teams, or go to their fate on ebay...it's too bad the bike world isn't quite like that...too much black magic that nobody else can find out about yet? hmmmm... what i would give for one morsel of that wholesome goodness that Suzuki has created...

well, i guess i'd have to give around 59k bucks

Funny, this is from MM's Twitter -

" $59,000 for my bike after Sunday's race. Now you all have the chance to own the weapon that wins them all! Hold a sec, Yamaha on line 2 "

I'd buy it, but it looks like it's been raced on a track. The guy probably rode it hard too. I bet it has scratches and chips in the paint. Oh, and the tires look bald. Who are they trying kid. $59k. Ha, I could buy a new one for $12K. Sheesh.....I bet some flip flop, tank top bitoh will buy it though. Suuuuucker!
