Suzuki Bandit 400

Anyone here have some experiences they want to share? I've received an offer and I don't know enough to make an educated reply yet.

I'll reply with year, mileage and pics when I get them.

Info in quotes:

Quote:
1991 Suzuki Bandit 400

brand new chain, fork seals, carbs cleaned & synched, tank sealed, petcock rebuilt, front fender, battery, spark plugs
has some minor dings and scratches but nothing too extreme
runs but is difficult to start and dies periodically. Has good compression and leak-down.
I've put a fair bit of money into this bike to make it what I felt it could be but I just don't want to put any more money into it. I'm very confident that it only needs some very minor help however and may take it to a shop if it doesn't sell quick. Price may go up or will at least become more firm if I do have it worked on.

I gots experience.
First bike I ever "drove"

I like it.
I would want to have one.
They seem a little long and top heavy...
not too much power.
reliable
nothing fancy to break.

That will really eat up your racing budget ! Id your on the fence DO NOT RIDE IT ! These things are a total hoot !

Is the person selling it hard up for cash ? KBB says trade in of about 1040, with retail of 1600 - that sounds high to me. If you could get it for 1k, you da man !

And, if yo uwant it, but, have to leave tonight, Ill be more than happy to ride it home for you

I've been offered it in trade for my dirtbike. It's not worth it. Plus, it is eight hours away. I was thinking of it as a bike for the wife.

Looks like a nice little bike, it would be worth a ride (if they'll let you).

I had a '93 B400. That thing was a hoot to toss into corners. IIRC, it topped out around 115, but I didn't have any trouble hanging with bigger sportbikes on twisty backroads.

LDH was just commenting on how he is looking for the exact bike. See the "another 360 Restoration" thread.

This is my 91. Somebody would have to come up with a whole lot more than what KBB says its worth to take this one out of my garage.
Just a way cool motorcycle..All 3 years of this bike that made it to the states are cool but the 91 was the only one that made it here un-restricted.
