Starting in gear.

Am I crazy, or is the RC51 supposed to be startable when in gear as long as the clutch is in? Since I'm really cool, I stalled my bike in a busy intersection today and went to start it and nuttin. Had to go to neutral first and then start it and then go back to gear.

The two wires that run to the clutch are plugged in. I took them off and reseated them and nothing.

Anyone? Thanks.

Good idea. I just checked it, it's plugged in. It's still under warranty for a while, I GUESS I could just have them fix whatever it is.

Check the micro switch on the clutch lever. Sometimes the wires to it pop off.

If it's like the 600RR the clutch sensor is on the left-hand side by the tranny. Is the Neutral light on when you put the bike in neutral?

I JUST got off the phone with the dealership, it's going in Friday to get fixed. He said they did a little research on it and are going to order up a sensor just in case. I'll let you know what's wrong with it when I get it back.
