Why? It makes a lot of sense to me...

One thing that has me a little puzzled is the "RVF" as I thought this thing was going to be a 1200cc V-Twin and not a V-Four.

could be a twin, could be a 4, hell it could be a 5 according to the patent sheets speculatively for the VFR1000. Everyone who knows is being tightlipped.

Why does it make sense to you they call it a RC61?

Why must you ask him this? You know he's a bit challenged!

yes, I know who reserved them and he's not Honda. He does a lot with them and knows a lot about them, but he's not Honda.

Well, not a perfect sience or anything but the Fiddy One was a 1000cc (998cc if you want to be anal), this one will be a 1200cc (1198 if you are anal), half of 12 is six and the one just for effect

Its no Secret Dan Kyle has the websites reserved. The RC61 is rumoured to be a 1000cc V4 and very limited production just like the RC45 and RC30. Basically enough to homologate it to race.

I have a guy I buy HRC parts from in Japan who said this when I asked him about the RC61,

"Dear Mr, Dave.

I checked RC61..
HONDA may sell it August 2008.
It is V4 engine.
But. It become expensive price.. like DUCATI"

I'm saving my pennies now!

I can't expect you guys to understand Japanese mentality so... we'll just leave it at that

Yep, Single sided swing arm, RVF name on it = Expensive ... Just like the RC45 was.

I thought the rumor was that it was made to be the counter measure of the Ducky for WSBK but, as always... we won't know until later

As much as I would love to walk into a Honda dealer and ride out on a $30-40,000 RC61, it ain't gonna happen.

I just thank Honda that I was able to buy a new RC bike once in my life.

THE BADDEST HONDA EVER MADE, THE RC51!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
