If you're patient and lucky you can get one that's been modded for around $3200 with relatively low miles. There's been at least 2 in the past year that came with tons of mods for around that price in good shape. Probably a pre-04 but if the suspension's been done, who cares!

Not a killer deal, but I bought mine off the showroom floor, right around 6K. Payments ran about $150 a month. Of course that was in '08.

Toy=payment? Does not compute.

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationary.

Sometimes a payment is not a choice.... We (my wife and I) are not "savers". Therefore, I had to prove that I could afford the payments....
So for me, no payments meant no "toy".
I pay $151.00 monthly. And I promised my wife that I wouldn't do expensive mods until it was fully paid for.

Insurance price varies depending on how you look at it. On paper, it's about $600 for the year (full coverage). But, they drastically lowered my car premiums to the point of where it only actually costs me an extra $250 per year for the whole package deal.

Well... TBH, I traded in my 9er and another bike along with the $2100. The other bikes were paid for so I didn't really count that.

Bought my '07 in 08 for $7200. Made the last payment Early this month and got the title this week. W00T!

insurance is... meh: $400 for the year for everything but collision thru progressive. I need to shop around. I'm 35 and have no tickets/accidents etc. Seems like it should be cheaper.

I would start looking around for different insurance quotes. Seems a bit high unless you have uninsured motorists.

straight cash son. I thought about getting something new, maybe the new CB1000 or a used Tuono, but I don't want another payment right now. My truck and my bike are paid off and it's awesome.
