No more nekkid!

Traded the 07 919 in for a BMW k1300s on Sat and couldn't be happier . The 9er was a fun bike, but the K bike is just in another league all it's own. As much power as anyone could possiblly hope for, comfy as hell, and I haven't lost anything in the twisties. Soon as I get my phone fixed, I'll slap some pics up.

Thanx everyone! Pics coming right after dinner. I have no idea how to do it, the wife said I had to wait... HAHAHAHA! I'm still a firm beliver that everyone should have at least 6 bikes, I miss the 9er sometimes. Parking lots and backing up are a new adventure with the K Bike, but the ride just blows the pants off it. I need to find someone that has a ZX-14 that wants to trade for a day. I'd love to see the difference.

Great looking bike Mike!

Now that you both have them, any issues/ maintenance headaches etc... I really like it. The riding position looks a little forward leaning but not as bad as a regular sport bike.

My 09 had a stalling issue which was fairly common, in the states ,from a too lean mixture (probably to pass DOT emmissions). Fixed with a re-map.
Steel bolt in/on drive line replaced with a stainless bolt. Apparently if you forge too much deep water it may rust, so it was fixed, and the handle bar switches were re-called. not built to specs. All warantee work.
Riding position isn't as cranked over as it looks. As long as you are aware of the position of your arms it dosen't load your wrists. Tank pads helped a lot to add some leg grip. ABS is UNBELIEVEABLE !! BMW tested a K bike aganist one of their sedans and if I,m not mistaken it was the FIRST time they had one of their bikes stop faster than the test car !
One BIG problem...If you ride in your "comfort" zone, seemingly just easin down the road.....you are probably breakin' the law
