So I've been gone a long time from here, but I was bored and looking thru apps and found this thing again, so here I go lol. I was looking at buying a new bike to tinker with, and found this 02 ZX-12R in Oklahoma City. Mods done were Muzzy egr block-offs, derestricted throttle body tubes, catalyst delete, full header with wrap, scorpion carbon fiber can, and a pciii. It's lowered and was turned into a street fighter with dual front lights, undertail delete with turn signals integrated into the tail light, some maltese cross bar mount mirrors, and brass knuckle heel guards. Also came with the plastics to put back to normal if wanted, but no fairing bracket. Well, the guy said it was torn apart because the gas tank was screwed, and had sat for a year and a half, so no promises, but it did come with a clear title. I knew these bikes had been recalled due to the vent tube in the tank splitting causing fuel to dump, so I figured that was the problem, which it was, and equated to a $5 fix to get the bike running again. This thing is stupid fast and amazingly powerful. Oh, and it only had 14k on the clock. I've had the bike about a month now, and have put 2000 miles on it already, and never stop smiling!

Here's my cost:

Fuel for the trip. $85
Random bolts. $5
Fuel tank fix. $5
Gas to start it. $5
Price for bike. $1200

Total price for an amazing bike...$1300!!

Congrats! At the price paid, you practically stole the thing! Way to fix it cheap and come out ahead. How does it handle? Weight feel?

Handling and weight feel great to me! I've thrown it in quite hard and have always pulled right thru! In fact, my chicken strips are already down to practically nothing lol. I agree that it needs clothed lol. Found the fairing stay bracket online for $45 new, and have the streetfighter stuff sold for that, so no cost to dress it! And had a friend donate q pair of oem Suzuki mirrors with integrated turn signals, so gonna be putting those on. Also came with a new Memphine Shades semi-tinted screen. I love it haha

She looks much better with clothes on - that one just doesn't look that great naked.

Yep. I live in Siloam Springs, AR, so it was an easy drive to pick it up.
