Calling LDH and others

Does anyone have any input on Tsukigi exhaust systems. My ap is a 2004 ZX10R. The product I'm eyeing is the Ti slip on.

的 said I never had much use for one.
Never said I didn't know how to use it."

Bigdaa, no input on Tsukigi. But, with the Kawi. I would say go with Muzzy. I've had friends get good results and service on their ZX-12's and 9's, exhausts and engine components. Sorry can't help with the 10.

Send me a picture of your bike and I'll photoshop some smoke stacks from a semi on it. So you can see if it looks good or not.

Everything I've heard with a muzzy pipe on it sounded like doo-doo. I can't believe I agree with Sporty.

Very correct. Sound is crappy. But, performance wise, fairly good.

I've always had a soft spot for Akrapovic as well!

These are nice!

You pay for what you get, buy a quality exhaust and that's what you get.
I've got Moriwaki on my F4i and I paid a lot for them but 5 years later, they still look good. The craftmanship on Moriwaki is amazing, the welds are beautiful, nothing like Hindle or obnoxious D&D!

I like Yosh for not raping you in pricing, but still providing acceptable quality.

Akra is pretty! Somebody on the nest just got a pair for his 919. I also like Termi, but Italians like to charge a lot for their stuff. Plus I've heard horror stories about trying to order from them.

Tsukigi (like almost every single other Japanese exhaust manufacturer) makes an excellent exhaust. The problem is there is no real support for them here in the US. Yea you can buy one fairly easily, but if you crash it or even if something just breaks you will play hell trying to get replacement parts. That may sound trivial & you might think "well that won't happen to me", but when you end up riding over half the season with your stock exhaust back on your bike while your $1000+ new exhaust system sits on the table waiting for a new bracket or something to show up then you will probably change your mind.

LDH, thanks for the insight. I did find the price of the slip ons to be very tempting. However, I could find no map for my combo. This would turn into a partial win sitch as I'd have to have a map made. One thing, though, I'd have a bit of noteriety, a 15 min of fame so to speak on DynoJets website having posted my map.

Wim, I choose to comment no further on the gay hole/buttocks controversy.

bigdaa, your local parts counter guy can help you out with the Tsukigi exhaust. I just received a catalog update from Tucker Rocky and while I had to take the browns to the superbowl I decided to bring the catalong along for the splash of fun and I remembered you were talking about this.

But I digress... I found out that they will be distributing the Tsukigi Exhaust in the US. Now, depending on how well they do, they may carry them forever but I have seen them drop a few exhaust Manufacturers after a year when they don't move fast.

Take a look at this link...

http://www.powersportrider.com/cgi-bin/zcatjpg

* Pick the 06 Street on the Pick a Catalog window, then
* Pick exhaust on the Pick a Selection and hit the Next Page a few times until you see them.
